Hello there, for today I'm trying to write a tutorial about Maya. As an answer of question from my friends (Leohard) from IndoCG.com, "how to render maya to avi video format ?". Chek this out.
1. First make your keyframe animation (just for example I made a bouncing ball animation in 16 frames)
2. Next open render setting windows
3. Then select render using ... and choose AVI format for Image format
4. Pay attention to determine your frame range which will to render (for animation especially)
5. You can also select the quality of render image result.
6. If you finish, then close the render setting windows, and now choose Batch Render drop down menu
7. Simply click it and pay attention to your Maya Command Line at the bottom. The process of batch render is showed there as well as the directory / folder the render result put in
8. Taraaaa... your render is done, you can check your render folder
You can try to explore another render setting according to your project. But for animation which need more post rendering such us compositing and editing etc, it is suggested to render in squence image format ,e.g targa (.tga) etc. because this format can maintain the alpha channel and hi quality image format. Then render the final animation from compositing software (e.g Adobe After Effects, eyeon fusion, autodes composite, etc).
Lets animate and keep explore our potention :)
